Hard Christian rockers The Word66, hailing from Las Vegas, return with their second single, “Tell Me”, set for release on August 1st. The track is lifted from their upcoming EP 37 Miracles, and it packs both spiritual fire and sonic punch. Fans will be particularly thrilled to hear the addition of legendary bassist Danny Miranda (Queen, Blue Öyster Cult), who brings his signature fingerstyle groove to the mix, adding serious weight to the rhythm section.

A hard rock band on a mission to spread hope, peace, and love with rocking melodies and positive lyrics—coming from a place deep within their hearts. In a recent review, they were called “Gospel-spreading Las Vegans set off on a journey to glory.”

Founded in 2018 by veteran guitarist Steve Scott, who eventually recruited Lance Crane and newest rocker Carlos Zemma, with special guest bassist Danny Miranda, the band is inspired by artists including Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Creed, Disciple, and Thousand Foot Krutch, to name a few.

From the moment the track opens, there’s an undeniable energy—big, thunderous drums roll in like a stormfront, setting the tone for the gritty, high-octane guitars that follow. The chorus hook is infectious and memorable, exactly what you’d want from a hard rock anthem, and it cements the band’s growing reputation for crafting bold, spirit-driven rock music.

Visually, the cover art continues to impress (by Joao Durante, who is responsible for previous covers for the band). With imagery that suggests rebirth or spiritual awakening—perhaps a man breaking through ice—it invites interpretation while staying firmly rooted in the band’s Christian ethos. It’s a strong aesthetic that matches the drive of the music.

There’s something about this track that screams motion. It had me imagining a motorbike ride through desert roads—raw, rebellious, and redemptive. It’s the kind of song you crank up loud and let roll over you, and I found myself nodding along (twice, in fact) without even realizing.

With “Tell Me,” The Word66 delivers a potent message wrapped in adrenaline. It’s rock with purpose, and it doesn’t hold back.
