On the Indie-rock scene Lorenza Wildcard is one of the names that you just keep hearing. We spoke to her over this Summer, 2025, and she is entertaining and “described by fans as Volthemic, her sound blends distorted guitars, acoustic textures, anthemic choruses, and empowering lyrics that turn scars into strength. It’s a genre-defying surge of indie rock and post-punk spirit — the anthem of outsiders who refuse to stay down.
Rejecting labels and conformity, she lets artistry lead the way — spanning garage pop, indie rock, post punk, and dance while maintaining her distinctive voice and raw emotional edge. With a gritty yet versatile timbre, her vocals channel passion and authenticity over ornamentation or restraint.”
The press release for this single tells me, “Tell It to the Gods” is a fast, electrifying punk-rock anthem—raw, visceral, and confrontational. At 158 BPM, it’s propelled by thunderous drums, commanding bass, and edgy guitar riffs, with gritty, dynamic vocals designed to make an impact. Using the analogy of gladiators entering the Colosseum to fight for the entertainment of the people, it confronts systems that exploit, deceive, and hold people back, turning frustration into defiance and inspiring the audience to rise, rebel, and fight back. The chorus is anthemic and infectious, engineered to stay with listeners long after the track ends.”

My Review: This opens up with a hard hitting guitar riff and the vocals have a punk attitude. It is a heavy track with a strutting, confident chorus, a song built around live performance and I can see this having a life of its own with a crowd singing the chorus back. Tell it to the Gods – have we some Viking rock here? A song to head off and pillage to? I sense Lorenza is having fun and it kind of took me toward memories of Toyah in places. It continues to plant the flag on what she is doing atm, brash, confident rock.
In summary? Undeniably battle ready, a bold, brash slice of what Lorenza is doing right now — rock with attitude, ambition, and a wink.
The single was released on November 19, 2025 and is available on all platforms.
