Rising Americana and Alt-Country star Emilia Quinn is set to release her highly anticipated single, High On Life, on February 14, 2025, marking the start of her sophomore album era. Known for her dynamic performances and captivating storytelling, Emilia has had an incredible year, headlining the Buckle and Boots Country Festival and selling out shows across the UK during her October 2024 tour. Her name is now firmly established among fans and industry insiders as one of the leading independent voices in the Americana and Country scenes.

“High On Life” is an empowering, anti-Valentine’s anthem celebrating self-worth and letting go of negativity. “It’s an upbeat earworm with sass,” says Emilia. “It has a rocky edge with slick solos by John W. Doyle and Cristiano Pochesci’s pedal steel adding Americana flair.”

We last reviewed Emilia Quinn with her live recording of “Let It Burn.” This is the first in a run of singles ahead of Emilia’s sophomore album ‘Dented Halos’, which is scheduled for release in September 2025. We also love her track “Worse than Whiskey,” so put the rather good video for that at the end of this review.

The Review:

Pull on your cowboy boots and hit the line for a dance! This one dances its way through the cinders of that “moody gray cloud of a guy” you have left behind. The track is full of sunshine and getting high on life. If this is an indication of what is to come, then I am certainly looking forward to the album, and I would say that this infectious style of country pop should gain interest from commercial radio, or there is something wrong out there! It is available to stream now, so get out, have a listen and turn it up loud.
