Now we like these guys, and we reviewed their last release, “Who Can We Love.” The new track, “Bring Me Back Home Again,” was released on May 5th, and it continues a line of single releases the boys have been releasing in 2023. It keeps the music immediate and creates a new product for the fans.
Produced by Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, Journey, Black Crowes, and Joe Bonamassa) at the legendary Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles,
“We had the pleasure of writing this song with our good friend and frequent co-writer, Ian Cullen,” shares frontman Robert Jon Burrison. “The song touches on feelings of longing and isolation while being away from your loved ones, something we are all familiar with as we go on tour throughout the year.”
The band’s new partnership with Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records affords them the opportunity to work with the world’s top producers and release a steady stream of high-quality singles on an ongoing basis, cutting through the industry chaos and ensuring new music is accessible to fans as intended.
“Working with Kevin was very easy and fluid,” Burrison continues. “He was super fun to be around and seemed to fit right in as a natural extension of the group. He also has an incredible list of people he’s worked with and was gracious enough to share some stories of his amazing career with us!”
And what is the new single like? It gives us great vocal harmony with that smooth southern sound, a thumping good drum sound; and some pleasing guitar breaks. I would say it is a statement as to where Robert Jon and the Wreck are now, the production is sharp, and the sound has a modern commercial groove. The chorus hooks blend nicely, and you are left humming the tune. It should do really well, we hope, and the band is on the road at the moment, and heading to the UK in September (details below).
