We felt the need to do a review for Valentine’s Day, and get a chance to say Happy Valentine’s Day to all our readers near and far, you know we love you (Lol).
The question was what song would be appropriate for a day celebrating love?
We chose “Nothin’ Comes Easy” from US based artist Kelly Williams, which is out on February 24th and available on pre-order here. Or if you are reading this after release then it will be on all major platforms.
What do we get with this one? We have a great country number telling a “sad, sad song,” but with a lovely sing-a-long rhythm, it’s commercial and radio friendly, and I expect it will do very well on country radio and the country charts. There is a lot to like here, and if you want to turn the lights down low and do a bit of slow dancing, then this one would be for you!
Kelly says of the single, “Nothin’ comes easy, Nothin’ comes for free… compromise and understanding are part of any good relationship, but most important being kind to each other through it all”.
For those of you who don’t know Kelly Williams she is a singer-songwriter who tells stories in her lyrics. love of creating brought her back to music in 2015 following time away from the industry where she worked as an interior designer and raised her two daughters, but she also found time to stay creative. In 2006, she wrote her first picture book manuscript and between 2006 and 2014, worked with a writing critique group and joined the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators to develop her craft further.
And now she is pursuing her passion for country music once again which was further fuelled by her incredible performance at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville back in March 2020 and shortly after she released her debut album, ‘Outside Looking In.’
We have put in one of the singles from that first album below!
So Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody! Get hold of this one and enjoy some sweet country sounds.
We are happy you are here, do have a look at some of the features we do with great interviews and thoughts on contemporary singer songwriters.
Also we have quizzes and poetry as well as some Music shops through Amazon.
