This new single finds the lovely Caitlin Mae sitting watching Hallmark Movies in the dark, surely not!

This is the first of two Christmas releases that have come my way as I am, apparently, the most festive-minded of our little team! This is the first time we have reviewed a Caitlin Mae release here at the magazine. For those who may not know, Caitlin Mae is a Nashville-based, multiple award-winning singer/songwriter who has thrilled audiences on a global scale throughout her career thus far. From arenas to festival stages, headline tours, and sharing the stage with country megastar Carrie Underwood, Caitlin Mae has certainly made a name for herself. Now being able to call Nashville, TN, home, Caitlin Mae has travelled far and wide this past year, both nationally and internationally, judging award shows, playing sold-out shows, being interviewed live on radio, and reaching #1 upon the release of new music, which led to her hitting the road shortly after.

I’m listening to this track and just glancing at those figures for it already on Spotify (over 21k listens already at time of this review), so this single has a significant thumbs up already. However…on to my review!

This single is out now and is available on all streaming platforms.

The song is about missing the one we love at Christmas. It can be strange Christmas; my colleague Mark says he always has a sense of sadness this time of year because of the people who are now no longer there and how it brings the ghosts in to play. Caitlin misses her love, who is 4,000 miles away and the messages here are written in the snow. The song has all you need from a Christmas song; we have mistletoe, snow and a happy ending as her love returns at midnight Christmas Eve!

In essence, we have a very radio-friendly Christmas song that should be on many a Christmas playlist this year. I enjoyed it and am off for a hot chocolate now!

And I hope you liked the review, dear reader! If you did, please check out the other pages of the magazine; we have many great features, merchandise, editorials and even poetry! We work hard for you, and if you want to show some appreciation and support what we do, then do use the Support Us link below and buy me a coffee for Christmas! Always appreciated.
