The UK’s queen of country rock, Georgia Nevada, is back with a brand-new single, “My Town, Too.” Written by Nevada and brought to life by her band, the song puts a fresh spin on small-town heartache, proving that no one gets to claim the past—or the places that shaped you.

With driving guitars, a no-nonsense attitude and Nevada’s mix of grit and melody, I am told that this is a track to turn up loud.

“My Town, Too” was available on all streaming platforms from the 11th of April, so I was a little late to the party with my review. However, I have been suffering from a massive cold this week, feeling miserable and popping paracetamol. So (and a sympathetic ear is appreciated), I needed to feel a little better before diving into my inbox for a listen.

Of course, we do like Georgia Nevada here at the magazine. I remember us doing an interview piece around the time of her EP release, and this single is the start of something bigger (shh!).

My review:

This is a little monster, a quick blast of line dancing verve and a determined lyric that this girl lays a claim to this town too! The song does indeed blend country with rock and is built for those festival stages over the summer. It’s as much legal fun as you can get in just under three minutes!

And we hope you liked the review, dear reader! If you did, please check out the other pages of the magazine; we have many great features, merchandise, editorials, and even poetry! We work hard for you, and if you want to show some appreciation and support what we do, then do use the Support Us link below! Always appreciated.
