Sure, we love dishing out juicy features and sharp reviews on the latest in modern music—but if there’s one true raison d’être for this magazine, it’s championing fresh talent we genuinely believe the world needs to hear. When a new artist has that spark—call it raw talent, call it star power—we can’t help but rally behind them. Trideli is a perfect case in point. I remember when Lorraine spotlighted Dutch band Roundabouts last year after their debut single dropped. Watching them gain traction ever since has been a thrill. There’s something magical about being in the crowd before the world catches on.

Rather than just doing a short review for the single, I grabbed the chance to get a feature interview as well (remember that although Mark, Benny and Stevie are experienced writers and music journalists for a decade plus, I am a student journalist at University, so watch for me in the future just as much as these new bands I cover here!).

TRIDELI is:

Marco BUCCI – lead and background vocals

Danile TRISSATI – all guitars

Simone N’DIAYE – bass

Manuel MOSCARITOLO – drums and percussions

Mike DELLA BELLA – producer & management

Faber FARINA – assist producer & project supervisor

Here is my interview with the guys from TRIDELI the band is based in Italy but Mike and Faber both told me that from day one they have written their lyrics only in English.

As many of the readers who are passing by the magazine and drop in to see what we are doing may not know much about you yet, can you tell us a little about the band –

TRIDELI:  We are officially starting out as a band, along with the release of this record, which reflects each of our personalities and experiences. Manuel has been playing with Daniele (guitarist/co-composer of Trideli) since 2006. For a long time, they grew up musically together, playing both original music and working as session musicians.

Currently all of us work as session musicians, composers and producers, and for this reason we believe that Trideli may represent a gathering of all the experiences gained, carrying on a rock sound shaped by different  languages and musical genres, even distant from each other, that characterize us as individual musicians and as a band.

The opening single, “Here and” Now”—it is hard to come to a wide opinion of a band on one song. But I did like this; compliments to the songwriter. It took me toward Kiss around their “Animalize” album mixed with a bit of grunge influence from somewhere. You deliver a great chorus too, which helps keep the song memorable. How important to the songwriting process is the chorus to you? And was this selected from a few songs you had available, as the chorus makes it an instant like?

Mike: Every song has its own story: some songs are born from a chorus you have in mind, other songs have the right verses in no time but lack the chorus, and sometimes the right chorus could be the tough part of the writing process. The chorus could be just a different verse with a different melody or could be the catchy part of the song because that was the intention of the author.

Faber: In this specific song, the music was written by Daniele (riffs) & Mike (melody) and lyrics. It was a very smooth process; the chorus just popped out naturally.

I noticed a strong drum sound on the track, really supplying a powerful heartbeat for the song. I liked how the drums were up slightly in the mix, as they often get ignored. Was a strong drum sound important for the impact of this song that you wanted?

Faber: We are lucky to have Manuel with us in the band. I personally already wanted to work with him in the past; he’s such a powerful and technical performer. We wanted his performances to be clearly audible in the tracks while maintaining the overall sonic balance.

Mike: Faber strongly wanted Manuel in the band and it wasn’t hard to convince me because I’ve known Manuel for many years and so much appreciate him as a guy and as a musician.

Our mission statement at the magazine is to connect, support and promote artists we love and know deserve to succeed – as it is so difficult to be heard today with all the noise on the internet. What is your band’s mission statement?

Mike: We do not have a “classic” band mission statement; the general original idea was to approach different aspects of life with our lyrics and play in the most genuine way possible, showcasing the musicianship of the guys trying to keep the songs as melodic and powerful as possible.

TRIDELI: We believe that the band’s mission lies in our desire to bring a direct and real artistic message, heart and sweat. Trideli is an artistic reality without frills in a historical period that struggles to be concrete and sincere, a period overwhelmed (fortunately not always) by masks and “virtual” fiction. Fortunately, we are in a genre, rock, which will always retain a certain “existential” sincerity… a granitic purity that runs through our veins and that we are honored to express through Trideli.

Are there any plans to make a video of the single for YouTube? (this interview was undertaken before the video was dropped. I have linked it below for your watching and listening pleasure! )

Mike: Yes, sure. We already have the official videoclip of Here and Now dropping on all platforms on May 30th.

What is the last album you listened to from beginning to end? And did you enjoy it?

Mike: “Apologies,” last single by Three Days Grace, waiting for the full album, “The End,” last single by Mammoth; as far as a complete album, “Black Light / White Noise” by Smith/Kotzen. All three were great choices.

Faber:  “Elemental” by Tears for Fears.

Marco: “From Zero,” the last Linkin Park album. I had been waiting for it for years. It felt nostalgic but also empowering to see my favorite band back on track. I found the choice of a female singer a wise choice. Any man couldn’t have borne comparison with the iconic voice of Chester Bennington.

Daniele:  “Grace” by Jeff Buckley and “Recovery” by Andy Timmons.

Simone: Untitled (How does it feel)” by D’Angelo.

Manuel: “The Overview” by Steven Wilson. Simply… a sensory journey. The album, which I liked a lot, must be listened to with due dedication, without haste, perhaps with our eyes on the cosmos.

What news can you share with us looking ahead in 2025 for the band?

Mike and Faber: The greatest news of the year is the release of our first album later this year; this said, our goal is to have TRIDELI recognized on the international rock scene. We would like to start playing live as soon as possible, though we all know that this is not easy at the beginning; nevertheless, we can’t wait to share our music with different audiences in different countries. The guys are awesome, and they do deserve great stages.

Finishing off the interview with my thanks to the band, here is my review.

I liked the aesthetic of the video; the white, empty warehouse space is set off by the band in black. Marco Bucci reminds me vocally of Graham Bonnet (definitely a good thing) and the track immediately grabs you – big power chorus and a funky rock feel in the drums and guitars. It’s interesting how the track is solidly rock but that bit of funk makes you move to the beat!

There’s something refreshingly confident about a debut that knows exactly what it wants to be. TRIDELI has burst onto the scene with swagger, style, and a sound that’s tight, infectious, and full of promise. If this is just their opening statement, then the rock world should brace itself—because these guys aren’t playing around. Crank it loud, keep an eye on them, and get ready to say, “Rock isn’t dead—it just got an Italian passport and a groove.”

“Life is like a roller coaster ride

Up and down and swinging on the side

Always there’s a second try

Hold it on the line

Life is like a roller coaster ride.”
