The Rockerati’s previous single, “Analogue Again,” came out in February and achieved USA coast-to-coast airplay—with SiriusXM’s ‘Little Steven’s Coolest Songs In The World’ playing the track on rotation and support from garage rock guru Bill Kelly on The Underground Garage, from DJs on New York’s tastemaker station WFMU (Rolling Stone’s “Best Radio Station in the Country”) and many more stations and DJs across the States…
…not bad for an unsigned band from the UK! And now hot on its heels comes the new single ‘Big Dog.’
This is a new band for me. I always say discovering new artists that I like is an absolute pleasure and one of the real joys of being with the magazine. They are not a new band (only a new band for me); they brought out their debut album, “Waterloo Sunrise,” previously.
David McCarthy, on vocals and guitar, is the heart of the band and he is joined by his friends in the studio.

My review: This takes me back with a blast to the old rock n’ roll sounds of the dance halls. It plays a form of blues-based rock shuffle, a bit of “shuffle boogie,” with the dogs baying in the background. It is for those who like a bit of fun and enjoy music that sets out to entertain and even as a cat girl, I found myself quite happily entering the spirit of the piece. In a world of overproduced polish, The Rockerati remind us that rock ‘n’ roll is still best served raw, loud, and with a wagging tail. Turn it up and let the dogs out!
And we hope you liked the review, dear reader! If you did, please check out the other pages of the magazine; we have many great features, merchandise, editorials, and even poetry! We work hard for you, and if you want to show some appreciation and support what we do, then do use the Support Us link below! Always appreciated.
The single is out on all platforms now.
